My name is Kacper Ogaza. My deepest passion is oil painting en plein air — drawn to sunlight, fleeting moments, and the Impressionist tradition that has always felt like home. What captivates me most is the way light is never quite the same twice, and the challenge of catching it before it slips away. My studio has no walls and no fixed address. It exists wherever nature calls me to paint.
My Story
From my earliest years, I dreamed of being a Native American- longing to rise into the sky and fly on my own strength. Part of me still believes I can. As a child, I spent hours in the meadows, running along country roads, watching for animals in the grass. That's where my wonder for nature was born.
Today, I return to those memories in my painting. I chase the atmosphere of moments that once made me feel free- and real.
Painting practice
Every painting is made directly outdoors, in the unique light of the moment. I often combine my passion for painting with travel — exploring Poland and beyond in a campervan, setting up wherever something compels me to stop and paint. My work has been shown at numerous solo and group exhibitions across Poland, and my paintings are held in private collections both at home and around the world. I hold a postgraduate degree in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, where I graduated with the highest distinction.
